A heartbroken 19-year old, Candace Averman, packs up and leaves for Manhattan after finding out her boyfriend of two years has been cheating on her for nine months without her suspicion. Desperate to find true love, she falls in love with an unknown voice from several cassette tapes that arrives in her new apartment and she is anxious to find out whom this voice belongs to.
