It's three years since the Battle of Yavin and the destruction of the first Deathstar. While civil war rages on, billions of people resume their day-to-day lives across the galaxy. On Tatooine, Neddor Lecram – a tough ex-criminal – and his wife Anaha, find themselves cast away from their home worlds, making a life for themselves and their daughter Stasy on a Moisture Farm Collective. Along with them is Anaha’s brother Benji, an anarchist academic and family outcast, his son Bereskoc and old family friend the Wookiee Dewurra, who escaped Trandoshan slavery. Through hard work, their unique skills and personalities they manage to make life on the sandy planet considerably comfortable. Each of them have their own ideas for a better future, with Stasy becoming more used to the only life she knows than the rest of the family would like. When a catastrophic event destroys their community and tears the family apart, Stasy must find her way in life as an orphan under the ward of the Empire. To ease her pain she submerges herself in Imperial ideology and becomes a relentless servant of the Empire as a fervent member of the Sub-Adult Group, the Ante-Endor Association and a cadet hopeful. After she works her way into the lower ranks of the empire, years later she finds out things may not be what they seem and the truth about what happened to her community and her parents might conflict with her loyalty to the Empire. She finds herself consorting with rebels, now heading the New Republic, in order to get the truth. Later she's locked in a battle that pits herself against her cousin Bereskoc, gets caught between Imperial Intelligence and ISB rival crossfires and her quest for revenge skirts her towards the darkside.
