Books are wonderful things. They give us role models, fictional characters who we want to be like in real life.
President Necare of Panem has discovered this, too.
When revolution needs to be quenched, a Hunger Games is the perfect way to destroy it. And when inspiration for rebellion is identified in literature, it will be the first to fall. As the tributes fight through the fictional worlds of today's stories, the two head Gamemakers, Paella Andouille and Pluto Solaris, will make sure every aspect linked to uprising dies along with the children.

Tributes from all over Panem are being taken to the Capitol for the 78th Annual Hunger Games - a normal Games, or so the tributes think. As soon as they arrive in the Capitol, though, before they are even brought to their rooms, they are wheeled into a small room. They are alone. Except for a camera, and a piece of paper telling them to explain their fondest memory, and their worst. As soon as they finish, they are wheeled to another room, this one filled with people and machinery and medicine. Here, a new experimental program, Tabula Rasa, will be performed on them. These Dark Days are not to be forgotten by the Districts. 500 years later, and the annual Hunger Games are still happening. This year, more tributes than ever were to be reaped as a reminder that no matter how many people try to rebel, the Capitol will always be the strongest.
