With her brother gone, her only friend living in another state, and her negligent parents moving her to the middle of nowhere, 17 year old Jade's looking for the only escape she can imagine. With her mind made up, Jade leaves her home hell bent on committing suicide until she runs into a complete stranger out on the ice.
With his grandmother sick and living on a private road in the middle of nowhere Law has no choice, but to put his life on hold and take care of her. Unable to remember why he became a surgeon in the first place Law quit his job in the big city to focus all of his attention on his grandmother and to have the opportunity to go back to the quiet town he grew up in.
