Mackenzie is a star ship pilot and second in command on a ship named the Griffin. Things can get rather boring out in space, that is until a chance meeting with an alien captain and his crew.
Mackenzie has never known men quite like these alien warriors called the fen.
Akkawaya knows plenty about war but nothing of love.
The attraction is immediate but there is one problem, the fen are very, very venomous. The wrong touch between them could have Mackenzie fighting for her life.
