My first attempt at writing something that isn't poetry in years.  This is going to be a major work in progress with countless revisions, deletions, etc.

I just want to tentatively attempt to write again, and I've been having the idea of a sci-fi/suspense story in my head, so hopefully I can find some creative juices to get it flowing.

If anyone has any critiques, comments or advice to give it is very much welcome!
