Pat is at the top of her class in grades and combat. She is the eldest sibling of five and the only girl. She tries to stay out of trouble, but trouble tends to find her. Her rules for justice are a bit looser than others' and she always stands for what she believes in. She dislikes useless things and refuses to bend to anyone else. She lives in a world full of angels and demons and wants nothing more than to protect her siblings and friends from the demons lurking behind the walls of Maceria.

When the son of the devil gets past the walls and tries to kill her, she is the one who kills him. But it's too late. The bride of the devil has already obtained her sealed away glass pendant that is locked deep within Maceria. With it, her deity abilities have been recovered. In revenge for her son's murder, she begins to alter reality around Pat to make her into her puppet. Pat refuses to allow Eve to make her forget who she is and who she cares about and will never give up trying to return reality back to how it originally was.

When Ren Holloway, a fiercely independent and slightly chaotic high school junior, stumbles across a hidden ritual in the woods outside her sleepy town, she accidentally becomes bonded to a forgotten creature of the Veil - an ancient plane between life and death. Now cursed (or blessed?) with abilities no one should have - like glimpsing past traumas through touch, sensing when something isn't alive, and sometimes... speaking with things that shouldn't speak - Ren is caught in a centuries-old battle between supernatural forces that have been feeding off her town for generations. The pact is unstable. The creature wants freedom. And something else wants her dead before she figures out why the Veil is thinning - and who caused it. 🧍‍♀️ Main Character: Ren Holloway Personality: Hyper-observant, sarcastic under pressure, uses humor to deflect. Doesn't trust easily. Background: Lost her brother under mysterious circumstances years ago; she's been "the weird girl" ever since. No one believes her when she says the forest is wrong. Skills: Not magical, but freakishly good at puzzles, rituals, languages, and uncovering secrets. Flaws: Impulsive, emotionally repressed, tends to push people away to avoid being hurt. 🐚 The Entity: "The Hollow One" Ren calls it "Echo" (sarcastically at first, but it sticks). A shapeless, ancient being bound to her soul - once a guardian, now corrupted. Speaks in whispers only she can hear. Doesn't understand humanity but is curious about Ren. Not necessarily evil, but extremely morally gray. Feeds on fear and memory. Slowly begins to regain pieces of its identity through Ren's actions.

Liviana is the princess of The Underworld. But she wants to be a normal girl. She has everything that any girl could ever ask for. A palace, tons of clothes, wings that can take her anywhere, a father who would raise Hell for her, literally, and a loyal bestfriend/bodyguard. What more could a girl want? But there's one thing she doesn't have. Freedom. Liv knows it's her duty to become queen of The Underworld, but she dreads her royal duties. On her 18th birthday, a new enemy threatens to kill whoever tries to stop him from taking Liv. But before he can get her, an old family friend shares some secrets about Liv, that she didn't even know about herself, and helps Liv escape to the human world until it is safe. She must act like a normal teenager. That cant be hard right? Wrong. With new powers and a new romance, can she learn how to master them before he finds her? Will she be able to save her kingdom, her life and the lives of her loved ones? Or is the threat too much for the princess?
