A Special Breed

My grandparents are…well they’re a special breed. They’re everything a 6th grade girl dreams about when she thinks about her future. Grandpa is your average fella and gram makes him not so average. I always wanted what they had. Love at first sight. I thought I missed my time, but that was before I met Warren White.
Casey knew things had changed a lot in the 60 years since her grandparents met the summer before second grade. The chances of her finding love right across the street like they did was very unlikely. But things change when a sophomore moves in across the street in the middle of her senior year. Warren White was different and Casey knew he was the love that she had been waiting for. Now, she just had to make him see it too.

*This is a story loosely based on the book Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen (the grandparents) because when I was in middle school, it was a favorite of mine and I recently watched the movie again. Also, it's based off of my boyfriend and I. Although it's all fiction, I found a lot of similarities in both Flipped and my own relationship, therefore I decided to mix the two and add a little bit of my own imagination.
