Love can be found in the most unexpected places. Really, sometimes it just catches you off guard and leaves you asking "What in the hell?" But sometimes that 'what in the hell' could lead to some amazing things...or some not so amazing things.
That's exactly what happened to Karrah. It was unexpected, amazing and not so amazing. She'd fallen in love and she'd fallen hard. Nobody understood why she fell in love with the person that she did, least of all Karrah. But she loved him and he loved her and nothing could change that.
Not even the ugly truths he kept hidden away. Not even when he hurt her. Not even when everything started falling apart. It was a love looked down upon by many. A love that almost left them both alone....but it was also a love Karrah was willing to fight for. He was her older guy and nothing could change that.

𝟏𝟖+| I was said to be 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝, 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞... 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. I had heard it so much in my life that it had manifested into a truth that remained rock solid in my brain. It consumed every surface of my body and mind like a deadly cancer It had become a promise to myself. A reminder. A standard. It was a rule applied to every person in my life, except him... He was the same as I was; no matter how different our outside identities were. We were cut from the same cloth on the inside. There was no denying that he and I were both broken souls left in a broken world. Both craving an eternal slumber before we met, but his darkness played so well with mine that suddenly it began feeling more like light, warmth, goodness... a happy ending. "...𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲... 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂," --------------------------- Partying. That was the one thing Chandler did best, and everyone in town knew that. But when one of her parties get out of hand and the cops are called, she's in for a rude awakening as she comes face to face with the new guy in town: Officer Herrera. He's wasn't like the usual officers she dealt with, and she finds that out quite quickly as she gets dragged away to jail for the night. They both wish to never see each other again, but there was something stronger than their dislike for each other keeping them together. The stronger their dislike grows, the more attached they become, until the lines become so blurred that they can't tell the difference between hatred and love anymore. They could say they hated each other, but if anything, a small part of them knew it would turn into love. If that love would last once everything was revealed... It was only a matter of time before they found out. ----

23 parts Complete
Everything she once cherished slipped away in the blink of an eye. After a mugging gone wrong, Hannah is left with brain damage. Years later, she's still trying to come to terms with the fact that her old life is one she'll never get back. Not her ability to write out a sentence or read a good book. Not the strength she once had to run a marathon or her ability to speak without stumbling over the words. The woman she was is gone forever and Hannah is forced to live with constant reminders surrounding her day to day life. Desperate for change, Hannah takes her former best friend from high school up on an offer to move in with her across the country and start a new life. It's the second scariest thing she's ever gone through, but Hannah knows the only chance of living her life is to give up trying to fix the old one that she'll never truly be able to mend. When she arrives, however, Hannah immediately realizes she's made a terrible mistake. This part of the city doesn't fit someone like her and she's ready to turn around before her bags are even out of the car. Until she meets Meggie's boss. David is southern, muscular and, according to Meggie, a grade A prick. But the brooding bar owner seems to have a soft spot for Hannah and is determined to show her that the choice she made to move here wasn't the wrong one and will do whatever it takes to get her to stay. Her second chance at life is becoming more than she imagined and as Hannah gets to know David, she begins to wonder if that second chance at life comes with a second chance at love.
