Emma Snowden was a hero in her former life. Her enemies forced her forward a little over 300 years into the future, to our present day world. Here, she has no memories of her former life or anyone in it. All she knows is the life that she currently leads in Cartertown Virginia. Things start to become strange in the quaint little town, as evil men from her past begin to show up and people who matter to her start disappearing.
