On the bathroom floor

My fractured life

Refracts splinters of light. 

Through my sorrow,

Through this blight,

Maybe broken words

Just need a little glue.

She was always in the shadows, her mind a fractured kaleidoscope. He was bursting with thoughts, a colorful maze of ideas. 

Opposites attract, do they not?

"Get in" comes out his voice, and I must've stood there agape for a few moments because next comes his rhetorical question. "Are you getting in or continuing walking in the rain?" Eyebrows raised expectantly.
