A Single Touch is about a 18 year old girl named Branwen Cane. Her mother died when she was young and her father fights in the army with her brother. The only person she can rely on is her best friend Mia Brenrose and her family. Eventually she goes on a walk to think over what is going on in her life when a massive winter storm hits her small town of Newport, Vermont, the 15th coldest city in North America. During this storm she is lost and the only thing she sees through the snow is the yellow of a newly-bloomed sunflower in the middle of the snow. Yet when she goes to touch it she is sent to a whole new dimension filled with new curiosities, new people, and no way home. Just when she starts to think things couldn't get worse, a boy her age named Jaxon Callawagh makes these decisions a lot tougher. Especially when he gets her to wondering, does she really wants to go home?

So @franzixidfc contacted me and asked if I couldn't write a book on her idea and this is the result. I tried to follow the basic storyline and added some myself. Harry and Louis were best friends when they were kids until Harry had to move away. Harry returned at the age 17 to his home town to live with his aunt. The kids in Ireland bullied him for the way he dressed. In his new school Harry noticed a loner that everyone called Tommo. There was something familiar with the boy but Harry doesn't make the connection at first. Based off a prompt on Tumblr: "I want a superhero series where they have powers that 100% contradict their personalities". Molly grew up as a fisherman's daughter in a village by the ocean, so naturally, it was a surprise to her and those around her when she acquired fire powers. Everyone around her had some sort of magic, but they all were compatible with who they were. Molly's mother had died in a fire for Aglea's sake! (Note: Aglea is a goddess who's name just happens to resemble a Greek goddess. They're very different.) Jax was the son of a rich blacksmith, who shocked everyone by developing water powers, and strong ones at that. When the two meet, they go on a journey to save Molly's village from a witch who wants their magic for her own. If they can't stop her, her icy grip will smother the world. Will something other than friendship develop over this trip? Only time will tell. (I don't own the cover image if you know who it belongs to, tell me so I can credit them.
