**Backstory** : Hope was adopted at the age of 6 by a loving family. Her mom Michelle and her father David tried for years to have a child but couldn't. Then decided to adopt and out came Hope.
They really connected and were happy as ever. That is until David got really sick last year. He had lung cancer, and had died about 8 months ago. That's when all hell broke lose. Her mother started drinking and it was very rare to catch her sober. She became mean and abusive. No matter how much Hope tried to please her.
Hopes best friend Nikko is the only one who knows about her mom. He's her safe haven. They have been best friends since the day they met and will continue to be best friends. Or will they?
Follow Hope along her journey. She'll go through love and through lose. Her ups and downs of life. She's more than she'll allow anyone to know. Let's just see how far her story goes and where she'll end up.

To everyone else she was A depressed mother that had spent more time on drugs than off of them. She cared about her kids she really did, she just didn't know how to handle them.
