"Joey." Her voice sounded like a dream, something beautiful that wasn't of this world. This dirty, polluted world. He hated it. Nothing good came from being alive. He didn't want to be so dependent on her but he couldn't help it. She was the only connection to Steez he had left, and he needed that. Maybe that's why he loved her.
