Elizabeth is 13 and is ready to enter her new life in high school. This summer was supposed to be the best summer of her life. Meet some new boys, make some new friends, and go on vacation. But her life takes a turn for the worst when her father suddenly becomes ill and dies of cancer.

Flash forward 3 years and Elizabeth is now 17, and is a junior in high school. She has completely changed since her best friend (her father) has died. Elizabeth has no one who understands her, shes shut everyone out. Until she meets Jack, a boy who knows exactly what its like. Can Elizabeth learn to look in to a persons soul, and see their true intentions? Or continue to shut everyone out?
