He stares at me, watching my hands fumble over my buttons and undo each button. I move it off of my shoulders and let it slide to the floor. My bra is the next to go, I undo it and take that off too. Then I untie the jaw string of the joggers, all while watching his reaction. I pull it down and step out of it but not before my shoes and socks. I'm down to my panties, but it only takes me a few seconds to take them off too. Completely bare in front of him, I walk over and turn the shower on. "I'm sorry that I showed up in men's clothes but I will tell you everything." I open the shower curtain and get inside. The water hits me, running down my whole body. "You need to talk to me too. Because the way that you felt when I walked into your office, is how I felt when I saw you scared on the bathroom floor. I make assumptions and lose the bigger picture." "What's the bigger picture?" He asks. "That we're in love with each other." I hold out my hand for him. "Come in here, so I can show you how much I love you." Shawn stares at my hand. "I'll leave you alone." His words filled the tormenting silence, "After tonight you won't have to see me again, only in class and that's it." My heart ached at his words, why? This should be a good thing, I wouldn't have to deal with Alejandro Rodriguez ever again. So why... Why does the thought of him not being around hurt. Lesson Learned {Student Teacher Romance}
My whole life is 'have to.' I have to work full-time to pay the bills and keep food on the table. I have to finish college for a chance at a better job, no matter how long it takes. I have to manage my mom's sobriety so I can keep her out of jail. I have to keep a smile on my face, so no one knows how hard it's been. Now, I have to ignore the curious feelings that flutter in my chest whenever my devastatingly handsome new English professor, Fitzwilliam Benedict, is nearby. Of course, that's kind of impossible because I have to face his storm-tossed eyes and broad shoulders in class every other evening if I want to graduate with my perfect grade-point intact. And it's getting harder to ignore the way his thoughtful gaze sees all the way down to the truth I don't want anyone to know. Our kismet connection is a major complication that could torpedo everything I've worked for...Or this could be the most valuable lesson, ever. 📚🎓 Just a heads up that this isn't fully edited (yet), so you may notice typos or spelling errors!
