I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book! My real life experience with fiction added :) Returning from my six year hiatus with a new book....my bad.

Hi, I'm Nate. I go to a normal school in a normal city, in a normal world. My life is pretty boring and normal. That is if you forget about the chance to be born with powers and if you do happen to have powers, than you will be hunted and jailed for just existing. I know it's probably weird for a girl who has cancer to be so well like me and all, but my family and I both agreed that I should live my life as long as I can. I mean of course when I get a cold it's more than just your typical cold and all, but that doesn't stop me from living my life. Even if I have cancer I am still a normal teenager, just one that has an experation date. So I'm starting this new thing where I make a video diary of what I have done the last 4-5 months of my life and then share it with my school so then they could see why I am so weird and care free.

I wouldn't call my life the best. If you count being abused daily at home and at school the best, then maybe it is. Hi, I guess. I'm Cassie, I'm 14 years old and I've been going orphanage to orphanage since I was 3 years old. My parents died in a car crash me being the only survivor. It was all down hill and only bands could save me from doing something terrible. Until someone in particular walks in.... 2018 EDIT- This is horribly written, i started writing it in 2016 and published it in 2017, in my 6th grade year. Its not edited bc I'm horrible with that, and I don't want to read that cringe over again.
