Brandon doesn't know where he is or comes from for the matter. But somehow he's ended up in a seemingly endless desert, trekking for miles on end with no result before passing out from exhaustion. Lyvyra is the ruthless, although intelligent, Princess of Naodia, the only capable heir to her father's throne. When the King refuses to pass on his legacy to her because of her sex, she travels through the Wasteland to preform a ritual older than time itself. Upon completing her albeit short journey, Lyvyra stumbles upon the lifeless body of an unconscious Brandon.
