This is a poem I had to write for school. It's from the perspective of a 15 year old female slave. I had to follow a frame and include specific literary devices so it's not how I would of written it personally.

Addison is nothing shy of a tomboy along with her group of friends. Freshman and sophomore year were great until the end of sophomore year when a tornado ripped her school apart. Now she's having to start all over in a school halfway between two towns. Best thing is the school let them come on their own. Worst thing is it's a rival school. Fights break out between the jocks and the nerds to see who is better than the other. It's chaos everywhere you look. She doesn't want to be apart of it. It's just until senior year for them. They can last one school year with their rival school can't they?Complete

A fifteen year old girl has been homeschooled for her whole primary school life. At the beginning of year 7 she is thrust into a world that she has no idea about. For the past two years she has been struggling and fighting to stay above it all. But when her only friends leave her for one another she is suddenly all alone and thinking of committing suicide.
