Charlie Bowers is a girl who has no time to waste. Her attention and focus is solely on her mother whose been in a bad accident and her education. This changes when she meets Chase Layne, a curly-haired, fun and outgoing boy.  She uses the same excuse again and again when he asks her to go somewhere with him. ''I've got no time to waste Chase, please leave me alone,''. He tries to make her focus on other things, such as friendship and fun, beside her education and ill mother.
