A young girl name Meri tells the story of her society she lives in. In 4028, 17 year old Meri gets ready to take a test that will determine her future. When she gets her results,  she is furious. Meri wanted to be a nurse to help those in need. But instead, she gets the job of the wife to someone she doesn't know and have children with to become the stay at home mom to cook and clean. Just like her mother.

Meri knows she cant go question the leader, trial and death would be her punishment. Meri ends up refusing to love the assign man she was giving . 

Meri is trapped and alone until she meets Charles, the leader son, who is kind and knows her pain. The start of forbidden romance will shake Meri's entire world.
