Carla as you can tell from the title is a loser or so she thinks. On the first day of school of being a sophomore she finds herself in a bad situation when she is about to face-plant on the concrete until a boy named Dean catches her and even says he thinks she's cute. Her day gets even better by meeting Derek in Chemistry, Adam in Geometry, and Allen in P.E. that also seem to like her pretty well. All Carla can think is why are all of these guys liking me and will I actually get the guy this time?
