With no army, a broken heart, and little time, it helps that she found an old prophecy to set her on the right track
Meanwhile, Solas, once a member of the Inquisition, is walking down a dark road. When he finds out that Lavellan knows something he doesn't, he'll stop at nothing to retrieve the prophecy and read it for himself. Seeing the love he never wanted to leave is just a very large side benefit.
