Haley is what you would call 'average.' She's not brain dead, but she's not super smart. She isn't super popular, but she isn't a loser. She isn't a rich chick, but she's not a poor blowout. She isn't drop dead model gorgeous, but she isn't ugly. And she's okay with all that.

Brent is a brain dead lowlife. At least, that's what he wants everyone to think. He doesn't want anyone to know how smart he is. He doesn't want people to know that he actually cares about girls. He wants to be known as the jock player. He wants to survive in high school, so he thinks being popular will make it easier.

Nobody has ever cracked Brent Langdon. And he hopes nobody ever will. But that was before. Before he even knew who Haley was.
