Zombies. Just when you thought you'd seen the last of them for a while- they come running back, bringing you to reality once again. Hmph. Reality. What an annoying word. There weren't many to start with but soon the low growling turned to hissing and the hissing to clawing and all sense of security was knocked clean over with a loud bang. That was when you got a real look at them. Ribs visible through stretched skin, teeth red with blood, crazed eyes pushed far back in swollen sockets. And the worst damn part- They were hungry. Although my heart was racing, shoulder throbbing, I shook my head. "Bite me!" I spat at him. He looked anxiously back over his shoulder to the growing hoard.
