The Dark Knight Returns

Twenty years pass after Bane's failed attempt to pulverise Gotham city. Bruce Wayne returns 10 years prior to his migration to find out that the new arkham asylum which is built as layers below the normal city, thrives as Joker's palace of crime. Old and weak, Bruce fights against the injustice for long but fails miserably. Joker who escaped after Batman abandoned Gotham, kills Gordon and jails several innocent civilians in the newly built arkham asylum. A child is born in that darkest layer of Arkham. Born to an innocent couple, the child is grown with the meagre meal that is dispatched by vacuum tubes in the cell. The joker kills his parents due to other lack of sport.
