Water, Earth, Fire, Air...

Many years have passed since that fateful day. The last Avatar named Korra was killed by an unknown cause in the Avatar state, thus ending the Avatar cycle forever.

The consequences were instant as the spirits invaded the lands of the people and destroying most of the human culture. But humanity stood strong and from the ashes rose a new world order. Many new governments were formed all around the globe, such as The Vermillion Kingdom (former Fire Nation) or The Federation of Ba Sing Se, but the strongest was The United Empire, which was formed on the land that was once known as the United Republic of Nations. With their strong military force they got rid of the spirits who invaded their home and they started to gain more land year by year. But the spirits weren't the only problem for this great new nation. Many people such as the other governments opposed joining the Empire, because only some major spirits were left roaming the world by the time the Empire started expanding and they saw the Empire as something corrupted. And so, the Empire declared war on the Rebels who stood in their way.

About a hundred years have passed since the formation of the Empire and most people living near the center of the nation's land don't even bother about the outside world, some less informed don't even know the Great War is a real problem. The center that stood on the grounds of the former Republic City, now known as Shihon became a Utopia for those lucky enough to have joined the Empire early. The leading role of the Empire is held by President Nadare, an ex-general whose military achievements got him the nickname Ice Giant. He is the successor to the throne that his family has been holding for three generations now. He formed an academy for benders from around the Empire, located in the north of Shihon to train them to become the Empire's strongest force.
