"No need to be all defensive. You are just as in my way as I am yours. You're new in town. Nobody ever stops at this gas station unless they're in town and nobody comes into this town for no reason." She frowned slightly at the realistic logic I stated.
"Sounds like you're asking why I'm here. Let me make it simple, pretty boy. I'm here for school." Her voice came out smooth. It didn't hold any trace of lying. I instantly burst into laughter at the thought of coming to the small town of Brooksville for school.
"That's a good one! Glad to know you think I'm pretty, Red." She flinched when I called her Red.
"You will not call me that or I will kick your balls so hard, you'll hear them rattling in your head." She snarled as her eyes darkened. Anger leaked out of her voice despite the impassive look on her face.
"Okay Oscar the Grouch, I guess I'll see you around." I mumbled as I moved around her and continued to my car. Behind me I think I heard something like 'I hope you go die in a hole'. This year might actually be different.

"You dropped this." I heard a husky voice say. I turned around to look at what I dropped and realized it was my schedule. I gasped. Damn, I would have been fucked if I'd lost it.
