The Revenants

When Evie awakens she is greeted by darkness. She can remember nothing before the dark, not even her own name. When she's finally exposed to the world, she sees nothing but destruction. Humans fighting against themselves, and odd creatures hunting the humans. Despite her best efforts, it's not long before she is captured. The group that captured her is one that even the bravest of humans tremble before. Because they have abilities; abilities that make them more than human; abilities that allow them to kill the monsters with ease... abilities that Evie seems to also possess. After witnessing their brutality first-hand, she finds nothing in her heart for them but loathing. But despite her unwillingness, the devilishly handsome leader of this ragged group of dangerous misfits, with his brooding glares and soft words, slowly but surely starts to change her. But the conflict within her is nothing compared to the challenges she will face to remember her past.

Christian is among the best and brightest of the Institute's Redeemed, genetically altered beings created to fight the bloodthirsty creatures that live outside the Institute's walls. Once upon a time, he believed in the Institute. But that was before his brother died, the girl he loved was threatened, and he was sent on a suicide mission to apprehend a homicidal Redeemed who went Rabid and became public enemy number one of the Institute. On the turbulent path to his target, Christian awakens to the horrific truths that the Institute has taken great pains to hide, and he must eventually choose between love and justice.

Unbeknownst to them, Evie and Christian are crucial pawns and must decide who they can trust, because the tide has turned against the humans and the Revenants are hungrier than ever.
