Bonnie and Damon have been stuck in the other world far longer than most have thought, thanks to help of kai they got out but with Bonnie's gramps and the Gemini coven's back up plan incase Kia escaped he is now back in the Prison world but now Bonnie and Damon traded one prison world for the other but in this world Bonnie Gramps is there as well as a Ancient relative if Damon, new threats and family secrets will be uncovered, as new love will blossom but once they get back to there world will there friend be able to cope with the new no nonsense Bonnie and the new and improved Damon. Old enemies arise as new alias are forged but will it be enough to defeat the coming darkness.
