Oscar and Alphonse

This is a short story about a little girl who lived in the time of the slaves. It was a school creative writing project, that we did well on and I felt we should share. Have you ever heard of a Harris Burdick? He was a man who sought to publish his stories, so he brought a couple illustrations to the publishers in hopes they would help him. They liked his ideas and asked him to bring in his stories, so that they could be looked over. He left the publisher and was never heard of again. But people are now challenged to come up with stories that pertain to his illustrations. That is what four friends and I did. OH and there might be some errors, I apologize in advance.
