Well let's be honest. This happens to all of us. We can never tell our crush our feelings easily and as they are our friends no ones wants to risk the friendship....
Same happens with Chosen One. Harry knows he has feelings for Hermione but doesn't want to risk their friendship so he tries to hide them.
But no one can, especially not with the fight Harry has to fight in his school years.....
