After the friends had finally escaped the terror of the mountain, they are placed in a hotel to be assessed and come to terms with what happened to them. Josh has been lost in the mines, and Sam killed by a wendigo, or so they believe.
When they discover Sam isn't actually dead and remains trapped on the mountain, the friends travel back to rescue their friend whilst being faced with an all too familiar threat.
