The Last Alliance of the Woods

A time after everything fell. When civilization diminished into a heap of rubble speaking of the lost days never to be heard again. Only the few survivors on higher ground were left, but with nothing to sustain them, most succumbed to the life of wild animals.

Before, scientific breakthrough had boomed with the latest technologies securing the human race for the future. But old rivalries would always break through allied nations. With Earth finally out of natural resources, people started scrambling for an alternative, and one accident can make nukes fly, starting WWIII. With too much disturbance on its crust, Earth retaliated with its last blow. Growing rumbles of tectonic plates stirred Clere the Great. Coastlines were submerged and settlers scrambled to higher ground.

Yet the few remaining people in the cold North came together to form a civilization; The Last Alliance of the Woods. A new life was made for the people of North Alaska, one with warmth and safety in the northern world they always knew as their own. But when all fails and their world crumbles apart, it will take only one life to save them, or one to have their allegiances be gone forever.

Back home with crackling fires stringed across the camp and the biting cold that dissuaded men from going out and hunting, Maiya and Ariya were born to trader Yao Yaurel Yafei and quiet Miao Maifu, the daughter of the current healer.

Both being thrown into the darkness almost since the beginning of their lives, it was astounding to see a ray of light slash its way in and deliver them from the chains that bound them to a bitter heart. Help comes in the most unexpected ways. And to Maiya and Ariya, in the form of a stranger stumbling his way through the woods to the Last Alliance.
