World War I.
She can't even go outside without worrying about the tactical bombings that occurred weekly, killing off her beloved neighbors and friends in only seconds, their screams branded in her memory forever.
It was a shock she was still alive, escaping with only bruises on her arms and a small scar by her left ear, rendering her deaf on one side.
Now, one year into the war she's fleeing from her home in Venice, Italy, running through towns and countries, avoiding battles to reach the large port of Liverpool, England.
She will make it to America, away from the major battles,
And hopefully she'll survive.

It is 1914, and Henry Anderson is watching the world descend into war. Like many young men at the time, he is fascinated by the idea of warfare and glory. Henry enlists in the military against his parents' wishes and throws himself into the life of a British soldier in Flanders. But it is far from what he expects: Henry's fantasies of righteous battle fade into the grim reality of gruesome death and shell-shock. He and his fellow soldier Jacob must help each other survive the cruel trenches, but it is no longer certain that either of them will return to England alive. Told in journal entries and letters from Henry's sister Elizabeth, this reveals the realities and horrors of World War I, on the battlefield and in the homefront. I wrote this for a history project while studying WWI and got way too involved in it, so here you are. WARNINGS: gun/bomb/gas-related violence, war descriptions, graphic death, suicide attempt. A spray of glass flew onto her as he broke the windows of the cabin. She heard the second ring come from the phone in her hand, the one clutched to her heart. He lunged and grabbed at her arm, locking it behind her back. The phone fell out of her grasp. "Really? This is the lock you choose," she laughed. Teeth gritted, she swung her head back to hear a sickening crunch. He was bleeding from his nose. She ran to the cabin and picked up the phone which was on its fifth ring. Somebody answered. "Hallo?" The general looked at her with fear in his eyes. "Don't." He mouthed. "I'm sorry," she said bringing the phone up to her mouth. _____ "The Royal Resistance. 1945. WWII. Evacuate to Lisbon. Over." It's 1945, WWII has been ravaging the world for the last six years and Maria Amelia Theresa Holmes, a minor British Royal has been evacuated to Lisbon by her brother who has joined the RAF (Royal Air Force). In Lisbon, she ends up getting pulled into an espionage ring, after overhearing various characters talking about the capture of her brother. She is enveloped into a mission to rescue him and the enigma codes formula. But she soon discovers that not all is as she thought. Not everyone is who they say.Concluida

Russia... that is where everything started. The perfect snow in winter, the perfect house that kept you warm and cosy, and for Octavia Zorina Radmilla it was the only real home she had even known. She was only sixteen but in 1784 many people were already wed or soon to be, Octavia was one of those soon to be types. A humble rock upon her finger, looping her pale skinned ring finger, with some sort of gold plated metal. Octavia Milo. The name didn't quite seem to fit but what is a name other than a way to identify a body. She would wear the name with pride, knowing she would be the talk of the town for marrying Spyder Dragan Milo. A dark soul, or so it appeared. Ever since the boy had been born something hung over his head like a shadow but that is what made him so wonderful to young Octavia. A curse, a curse with no rules, or at least rules that always changed. No matter how hard the two teens tried, there seemed to be no loopholes. We won't start at the beginning, that won't make sense, at least not this time. Spyder and Octavia were doomed to be this way, living life after life trying to find one another but every time they remembered who they were, they would die... or at least one of them would, leaving the other two options, to continue until their next life cycle or to end it and try again. Of course it is never that simple. Especially when someone keeps changing the rules. The only stable thing they knew, was that they will always remember before they die, whoever had died first the previous life, would be the first to remember. and they would always find each other.
