Imagine. Your entire life you had to deal with this, it's shadow always standing above you. When you walked to school. When you watched TV. When you threw your dog a stick. It was there. It was there watching and observing you. It never did anything. It never hurt or harmed you.
Until one night it attacked, but by then you were already gone. And for once in your life there was no shadow. Just the sweet bliss of freedom.
But freedom comes with a price. Mine was losing my parents to the shadow in the attack.
The imagine above? That's my life. My problem. My.... mistake.
I run. I fight. I survive.

Now surviving isn't living. I have to run. Everyday, in fear that the shadow will find me. And trust me it will eventually.
But that shadow finding me was the best and worst thing in my life. It killed my parents, it... it destroyed my home and family. But it lead me to my new family. To my new home. To my new life. And it all started because of my powers.

She finds out he is Iron Man a couple weeks later and that he is in New York, so she goes into a mission to find him, she was in Kansas this whole time, one day they run into each other, but he soon comes to realize that she isn't the innocent barely teenager she once was. She is now a strong independent woman, who has been through hell and back again. He finds out what happened to her almost 8 years they were apart. She soon meets Steve Rogers or Captain America, and her world goes upside down once again. He is nice, caring, independent, and soon she opens up to him, slowly feelings stay to appear, that is, more then a friend, way more then a friend. This is an Avenger fan fiction but in my own way, it's not going to be like any other Avenger's book you've read, and I hope you all like this book. This book doesn't line up with the Marvel Universe, the past, present and future don't all line up, I've changed things a bit for how I want them to be. ... I open my eyes and immediately close them again, bright lights shine down on me. I think back to why I'm in this situation, why I'm laying on a table with the smell of disinfectant in the air. ⏪ I was getting everyone out of a building at the centre of the Skylea attack, there was a trapped boy, I had to save him.
