In a world where 80% of the population has developed unique mutations in their genetic codes, giving them "superpowers", or "quirks", as they call it, it doesn't take long for fantasy and imagination to emerge out of the earth. And further, it doesn't take long for roles of "Heroes" and "Villains" to rise up as well. But... Who coins one as a "hero" or a "villain"...? The person themselves...? Or the people around them...? Light... Dark... Dusk... Dawn... Two sides of the same coin... Twilight... --- Kageyama Kazuma is a 16 year old boy, aspiring to follow his late father's footsteps, and become a hero who saves people. But... Not all can go as planned, or wished, right? So was the case for Kazuma as well, as his quirk soon found itself being held accountable for Kazuma being coined the word "villain" by those around him, before he could even begin his journey to becoming a hero. His only light in this darkness being his mother, is willing to do whatever it takes to keep that smile she treasures so much to never leave the boy's face. But... Being a human at the end of the day, she can only do so much. Follow Kageyama through his journey to becoming one of the greatest heroes in the entirety of Japan. What awaits him on this journey? Friends? Love? Hardships? That's for you to find out. [This is a rework of my first book ever, "What It Means To Be A Hero"] --- I do not own any claims/rights to the My Hero Academia verse, all rights go to Kosei Horikoshi. "Demon! Monster!" Those are the most common nicknames people give me when I show them who i am... It's not like i can help it. It's normal that they will be scared when someone like me shows up. Mostly because people are afraid to die. My dad decided that it would be better if i hid what i can do and act like a normal guy when I'm not working... i wish people will just understand... I'm not a demon, and I'm not a ghost of an evil spirit longing for revenge and blood. I... I'm death himself.

He saw her as she was attacked by several boys. Boys that smelled wrong, smelled tainted. He didn't think about anything as he killed them. He brought her home and took care of her. Little did he know that his actions put him in the crosshairs of the most powerful demon. He didn't care. It also put him into the crosshairs of the angels. He finds himself in the unenviable position of helping the angels out, not once, not twice but several times. Angels in the debt of a vampire, he never thought it would happen. But then again he never thought he'd become a vampire all that time ago either. Just how far did the angels debt go and how did he get himself into the mess to begin with? But the real question he asks himself is, just why the hell does he care if a human lives or dies?
