We will be following Duchess Ambrose La Marck as she embarks on the harrowing journey through the Forsaken to the Charismatics' Headquarters, with her love Vasser and the two Charismatics they've just been introduced to--one of which is Vasser's long lost older brother--by their side.

Ambrose will do anything to find Roan, her advocate and lifelong friend, who was kidnapped by the murderous Legalia traitor, Evelyn Smyle. And she'll have to do it in the darkest place on all of earth, full of evil spirits and cannibalistic demons--the Forsaken.

Vasser is about to find out that his family never died--they just left him to fend for himself as a penniless child in Chillingham, instead becoming the leaders of the rebel group Exodus.

Inquisitor Harland Killaher, Ambrose's uncle, has begun orchestrating his deathly experiments on anyone and everyone under Legalia's rule. Denizen children have become his number one target.

Exodus, the rebel Charismatic group, is gathering their forces for an all-out war against Legalia. The walls between dimensions are thinning, and have become non-existent in places.

The voices have heard the world's cries.

The spirits held for many millenia behind those walls are coming.

Insurgo, insurgi, insurrectum.

Rise up. Rebel. Revolt.

And revolt they will.
