Natsu is the heir to the kingdom of Tartaros, the enemy of the kingdom of Magnolia in which Lucy is the heir to. Both kingdoms clash in the hope to take over the continent, and Natsu and Lucy don't enjoy the extra stress. In attempt to escape the constant yelling and burdens, they both run away into the nearest forest. They bump into each other in the Forest of Fairies that resides between their kingdoms, and end up making a small kingdom of their own, called Fairy Tail. Battles break out as their secret 'guild' is found and Lucy gets locked away for the next year. When she and Natsu reunite, hearts are broken. The rest is told in Love Comes With A Price.

It was another day where Team Natsu are out doing a job around East Forest of Magnolia. Their job was to find a treasure that's buried in the future. They didn't really know what that meant, but since it was their job, they had to do it. What you started, is what you finish. As they search for the treasure, they can't find any clues on how to find it, except for the word 'future'. So they started to spread out to have a better chance finding it. But something unexpected happened. A bright light flashed in the middle of the forest and covered everything up. Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Happy then all ran towards the light and find what caused it. But only 3 of them made it. "What happened to Popsicle Breath and Lucy?" Natsu asked.
