Catherine Meadows is a stunning, smart and hopeful actor from New York. She moves form the big city to a small town in Georgia. Her life is going nowhere until she meets James Thunderous, a nice, tall man with a passion for crafting.

Catherine takes an instant disliking to James and the selfish and stupid ways he did during his years in college in Scotland.

However, when a thug tries to kill Catherine and kidnaps her, James springs to the rescue. Catherine begins to notices that James is actually rather brave at heart.

But, the pressures of James's job as a writer leave him blind to Catherine's affections and Catherine takes up singing to try an distraction herself.
