In a smal town on the British coast' Sophia is living her life like any other war girl. Across the Chanel, however, her fiancé, Ryan, has been taken prisoner by the German army. When Sophia hears news of a mass breakout from the camp where Ryan was being held, she knows he must be responsible, and so begins her journey across south eastern France, Germany, and Austria Hungary. As she continues the search for Ryan, she begins to realise the true horrors of war, and the devastating effects it can have.
