I hastily tried to loosen the rope that was tied around my wrists and ankles. The thick rope rubbed forcefully against my skin, giving me a blistering rope burn. The raw skin was colored red from the struggle.
"I... I knew it would change everything. I'm sorry".
Tears made their way down my face as I realized what was happening.
I had been deceived, and falling for the wrong person was going to cost me my life.
