Yes it is bad, yes the writing is horrid, and there are so many plot holes. At a young age, Loren Areno lost her mom to cancer. Not long after, her dad was sent to jail. Mrs. Curtis let her stay with them since she was good friends with her mom, but when Loren was 15, Mrs. Curtis sadly passed away too. The brothers still let Loren stay with them but she always had the feeling they hated her. After a severe car accident, Loren pretended to be mute to see if they acted different. This also happened to be around the time her dad was getting out of jail and she has to make a life changing decision... stay with the Curtis', or move hundreds of miles away with her dad.Complete
