Every rose may shine beautiful on the outside and seem happy and all, but, on the inside.... they can be so empty and fragile that any second they can just...break. Every rose has its thorn, however, Sadie just thinks of herself as one whole thorn. She never thought of herself as beautiful, pretty. Only things she's been called was freak, loner, creep, bitch... and many many more. Ever since her mother somewhat disappeared out of her life, all she felt was pain, and the life she now lives is filled with suffering and just pain. Long lasting pain. Until someone saves her from her torture of a life and teaches her how to be happy like she was, 7 years ago.

*Disclaimer: Sensitive topics are brought up. Do not read if triggered by topics of sexual abuse and self-harm.* Just like a rose, Rosalie Mae Underwood has her fair share of soft, blood-red petals and dangerously sharp thorns. However, as an English major University student, she dreams of an oasis of her embracing the smell of sea salt and the constant crashing of waves on sand. From her little pursuits of happiness, she winds up in an uncompromising position that strips her bare and scars every part of her soul. The scars that burn so deep within her ruined soul that isolation is her only source of comfort. Follow the girl who only wants to cut off all her scars and thorns to be able to finally find her true happiness. Follow her on her road to self-disgust and self-loathing as nothing is able to stop her self-inflicted, fatal decisions that lead to her downfall. Don't follow her on her path to depression and pessimism, as no one ends up alive.
