A THOUSAND YEARS AGO, MAGIC VANISHED FROM THE KINGDOM OF ILLVONYA.

Now, it's been returning, and just in time to cause a whole lot of trouble for the Thieves' Guild of Archport--like they didn't have enough to deal with, working with the Raven Associates to smuggle slaves out of Evaren (a neighboring nation), keeping their reputation as a group of fearless criminals, and keeping their identities a secret. 

There's just one thing that no one knows: it's a group of teenagers.

With unforeseen complications arising and a country that seems to be teetering on the edge of chaos, it's all they can do to keep their heads above the water. But when Sam begins to develop abilities after coming into contact with an ancient artifact and the people with abilities, or the Tainted, start to be grabbed in night raids and thrown in jail or up for public executions, they know it's only a matter of time before they are forced to become more involved. 

Little do they know the full extent of what's coming... With a goddess-given mission and the fight of their lives close approaching, can these rag-tag heroes pull themselves together in time to save the kingdom and themselves?
