It's time for the 69th annual Hunger Games. One boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 will be reaped from the 12 districts that make up the nation of Panem to compete in a fight to the death on national television. The male tribute from District 3 is sixteen year old Caelum Walkinshaw, and the odds are definitely against him. Will Caelum manage to swing them in his favor to survive the scorching desert he's been thrust into against 23 other kids and return home? Or will he become one of the hundreds of kids killed for Capitol entertainment?

Hunger Games fanfiction. Full of OC's with some characters from the trilogy. Takes place before the events of the books/movies but I have done my best to be faithful to the canon of the Hunger Games universe. That is why I chose the 69th games. When I was thinking of this story, I imagined the arena in the desert. It was convenient that it is briefly mentioned in the book that the 69th Games took place in a desert so I decided I'd just set it then! The title is subject to change if I think of a better one. This is my first attempt ever at writing fanfiction so I would really appreciate any criticism and/or advice. Thank you.

In this Hunger Games fan fiction, we follow the story of Grace Frost, a 16-year-old girl from District 12 who was reaped for the 76th Hunger Games. Grace is not particularly skilled in hunting or combat, but she has a likable personality that makes her popular among her peers. Before leaving for the games, Grace asks Katniss, the winner of the 74th Hunger Games, to take care of her daughter, Faith Anderson, in case she does not make it back. Katniss agrees to the request, knowing all too well the pain of losing loved ones in the games. The 76th Hunger Games are unique in that they are taking place during a time of increasing rebellion against the Capitol. As the games progress, Grace realizes that she has become a symbol of hope for the people, much like Katniss did in the previous games. She uses her popularity and charm to win the support of other tributes and the Capitol audience. Meanwhile, Katniss and other rebels are working behind the scenes to support Grace and use her as a symbol to rally more people to their cause. They know that the Capitol will do everything in their power to prevent a repeat of the 74th games, where a tribute from District 12 emerged victorious. As the games come to a close, Grace finds herself facing off against another tribute from District 12, a tribute who has been trained specifically to take her down. It's a tense and brutal battle, but in the end, Grace manages to emerge victorious, becoming the first tribute from District 12 to win the Hunger Games twice. However, the victory is bittersweet, as Grace is haunted by the deaths of her father and James Anderson, the father of her daughter, and she knows that the Capitol will not take her defiance lightly. With the help of Katniss and other rebels, Grace begins to plan her next moves, knowing that the fate of her daughter and the entire district is at stake.

(REUPLOADED - deleted at 3k reads) Like all children in his world, 14-year-old Finnick Odair had the chance of being chosen for the Hunger Games. In a pool stock full of names, he was just as vulnerable as anyone from the ages of 12-18. And in District Four, which often tends to produce Career tributes, its residents could only hope that this year's pair would fall under that description. On Reaping day, a 14-year-old boy's name is called. A name that is often whispered down the hallways of the local high school, giggled at, fawned over. The gasps that arose afterwards were monumental. Him, of all people? It couldn't be, could it? Yet it was. At age 14, Finnick Odair was called forth to be a tribute in the 65th annual Hunger Games. Many stood there and thought, "He's just a pretty face. How could he possibly bring home the victor's crown?" However, some people are far more than a pretty face. In fact, it's even said that those with such captivating allure are most often the ones that can catch you off guard and bring you to your knees. __________________________ Excerpt: ❝25, 24, 23...❞ I can do this. I have the skills, the desire--I can win. It's possible. I know it's possible. The odds may be against me, against all of us, but one of us has to win. ❝15, 14, 13...❞ So to everyone in Four watching; to my mom, dad, and Annie Cresta, I'm making a promise to you. ❝7, 6, 5, 4...❞ Whatever happens here, I will fight like hell to come back home, ❝3, 2, 1...❞ I promise you.
