"Lie to me," she whispered, her brown eyes glazing with tears, "tell me that you won't leave me again, that I'm the only one..." she gulped, feeling her bottom lip trembling with emotion as she fought to contain her calm composure, "that...that you love me."
He nodded, rubbing his thumb against her cheekbone, caressing the freckles he adored so much and whispered, "I will never leave you again," his ocean blue eyes stared deep into hers, the intensity making her weak at the knees, "you're the only one, Savannah." Blake touched her bottom lip, making it tremble harder under his touch and he gave her a lopsided smile, "And I love you."
His lips pressed against hers gently, making her gasp in anticipation and it was the most amazing feeling she had felt since he had left her. Everything felt in place, in order, she felt at home. But she knew it wouldn't last and she understood; she told him to tell her a lie.
But the sincerity in his voice and eyes was clearer than any crystals in the universe.
Maybe, just maybe, they were just white lies.
