Felix has recently been outed as gay by his bitch of a sister who, late one night, found that he had been writing gay fanfiction on Wattpad. Ever since, he has shut out the world, even to the point of wanting to end his life. Felix feels that he will never be able to truly be himself, much less find love.
Trying to take his mind off of things, his best friend Franklin (the hopelessly attractive straight boy in this story) drags Felix to the local Halloween "haunted house" event.
Though Felix feels as hopeless and depressed as he ever has, he forces a smile and tries to have some fun with the one person in the world who actually accepts him for who he is.
Without giving away too much, I will say that Felix encounters a very unexpected romantic encounter on this Halloween night that will forever be remembered (by Felix, at least) as the night his life began
