Close the borders. No one in. No one out. The government told us we would be safe. That the outbreak wouldn't get into America. A lie. It was all a lie. No one was safe. No nation was safe. It begun out of nowhere and it spread more rapidly than anything this earth has ever known. In twenty-four hours a third of the world was infected. There is no cure and there will never be a cure. It has been 389 days since the beginning. Since the earth was plunged into an apocalypse.

The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick.
