Jace had a normal life, well as normal as any life could be. He had friends, family and his parents made enough money to support them and still have a bit left over to spend. It was a safe life. A peaceful life.

Matthew had the tough life, his mom gave him up for adoption but he was never adopted and tossed into the foster care system. That ended up in a lot of home jumping and touchy pervs. It wasn't cushy and sweet and left Matthew more than rough around the edges.
